Yesterday Dr. Deepthi ma'am gave us an opportunity to see a movie related to education. That made me so happy because I really like to watch movies. The best assignment given to us. I chose Aakasha Mittai starring Jayaram, which makes me think about what is education and what its purpose.

The story tells us about 3 fathers with different mindsets, and how that reflects on the way they raise their respective kids. This movie made me cry. "Aaksha Mittai" seeks to awaken the community to the current unhealthy education system and parenting. This film gave a social awareness to the community that every child has their own dreams and their own talents. Every parent has dreams about their children, but that dream should not be a burden for them.

The directors gave a message expressing the parents' concern about their children. The film features Peetambaran, the passionate and strict father played by Kalabhavan Shajon. His remarkable performance surpasses that of Jayaram's character Jayashankar.

Peetambaran dreams of making his son Vidya Vivek a doctor and he never allows him to interact with friends. Vivek finds solace only in his mother Rekha. Jayashankar, on the other hand, bears a close resemblance to his son Akash and teaches human values.

Jayaram appears to be a respectful father whose only role is to convey the message. Filmmakers use Shajon and Jayaram as two sides of the same coin with different principles. Whenever the movie slows down, Shajon's presence leaves the movie in active mode.

Movies like this show the dark side of our education system, the expectations of parents and the subtleties of parenting.

This is an amazing movie and I strongly recommend watching it.
