14th day of teaching practice 👩‍🏫👩‍🏫👩‍🏫

Due to heavy rain unexpectedly, we got 2 days off. That should make each of us nervous because we have six days to finish our assigned chapters.We didn't know what to do. We make ourselves ready to face the problems.

Today I reached the school by 8:30 am. I missed the first bus, but I got the second bus, so I reached the school on time. After arriving, I went to sign attendance and went to morning duty.

Around 09:15 am, Deepthi, our teacher, informed us that she would come and visit our class. We were shocked and started preparing for the next class. Teacher first visited Sajin's class. He had class in the first hour. In the second hour, me and Aleena had classes. So ma'am informed us she would visit our class by dividing the time equally.

In the second hour, I went to my class and informed my students that my college teacher would come visit our class, so I would only speak in English. Students said they don't understand English, so please teach the concept in Malayalam after the teacher goes. I agreed with my students, and I started the class with a silent prayer. My students actively cooperated with me. But some of my students didn't pay attention because of the English language. To make them active, I started the class with a game called "One two three count". After that, I checked the students' homework and 3 students hadn't done the homework. So as punishment, I asked them to stand for some time. Then I gave the activity card and moved to the next concept, the Inversion method. At that time, Deepthi teacher, came and observed my class. The teacher said it's a negative reinforcement, so don't allow the students to stand for a long time.

After making the concept clear in students, I presented my activity chart. In my activity chart some measurement was not visible. I am really sorry for that to my students. After the bell rang Deepthi teacher went to next school. At that time my students asked me to teach the concept in Malayalam. So I taught them the concept in Malayalam by taken their time of interval.

After my class, I immediately looked into my observation book and read the comments from Deepthi teacher. Some comments are given for improvement. In the next class, I will make sure that all my negatives become positive.

In the third and fourth hours, I completed my blog.

In the afternoon, I went to a meal distribution and had food with my friends.

In the 5th hour, I got a substitution in class. In that class, to make entertainment for students, we played the game "Truth or Dare."

In the 6th hour, I got a substitution hour in 9G. We played the game "City of Truth and Lies." That makes happiness in students.

 

In the 7th hour, I again got a substitution hour in 8M1. Since it's my first class as substitution, we played the game city of truth and lies with a small change by including dare in the game.

 

The day ended with some sadness and tiredness.
