18th day of teaching practice 👩‍🏫👩‍🏫👩‍🏫

Today I reached 08:30am in the school. After arriving at the school, I went for signing and then to morning duty.

I was a little afraid in the first hour, because of yesterday's problem. So I prepared hard for my class. Today, the inquiry model is used in LP. So it's become very hard for me.

In the second hour, I immediately ran to my class and informed my students about my observation. So today's class will be in English. I started the class with a silent prayer and gave myself time to settle down. To create readiness in students, I presented the life story of Shakuntala Devi, the human computer.

After that, to check students' prior knowledge, I gave an activity card to each group. After some time, I called one student from each group to answer their questions. It takes one whole class, so I'm not able to complete my lesson plan. It's become one of the main negatives for me. The teacher wrote some positives and negatives for improvement. I continued my class for the 3rd hour as I got a substitution class. It's helped me to complete my lesson plan. But the teacher left after the second hour. From the class, I knew that my students knew how to solve the problem when the question was given as they studied. Other questions became very difficult for them. So I decided to take revision classes to make a clear understanding of the equation in students' minds. But my students' responses in the second hour made me sad. I expressed my feelings to them. After that, they said sorry, and some students promised me that they would score full marks on the test paper.

Because of today's situation, I am very sad and feel bad for my teaching.

In the fourth hour, I didn't talk to anyone and decided not to go for substitution.

In the afternoon, I didn't go to noon-duty. I went only for food.

In the 5th and 6th hours, I didn't go to any substitution classes. My friends talked to me, but I didn't feel better.

In the 7th hour, my friend Sajin took me to class 8 Q1 to make my mood better. Sajin introduced a PPT game to students and played the game. I helped him with technical support.

After the classes, we went to the office to sign. Then we entered HM's office to ask about the Onam celebration. Between the conservation, Bijo sir and a sir (don't know the name) appreciated me for my sincerity and commitment to work. That appreciation made my day happy. All my sadness became happiness. Thank God for the love.

The day ended with sadness as well as with happiness.
