17th day of teaching practice 👩‍🏫👩‍🏫👩‍🏫

Today I reached the school by 8:30 am. After arriving, I went to sign attendance and then to morning duty.

In the first hour, I started to prepare for the second hour of class in 8D.

In the second hour, I went to 8D class and started the class with a silent prayer. I make readiness in students by sharing a story called "Kentucy Fried Chicken". Then I checked students' prior knowledge of the concept by giving an activity card. Then we moved onto the similar problems of natural numbers. We solved the problems of odd numbers and even numbers. Since students already had the knowledge of natural numbers, the remaining problems became easy. So after that, we moved onto the problem of the calendar. I presented a chart and asked one student to read the second part of the question. When we did the second part of the question, it became easy to solve the first part.

Before going to solve the question, I want to make a clear understanding of the distance between the numbers in the calendar. So first I took a square of 9 numbers and made students understand the distance between other numbers and the first number. Then I asked students to mark another square of 9 numbers and to find the distance. It helped me to easily move onto the algebraic form. After getting the algebraic form, students easily solved the problem. Then I ended the class by giving part 1 of the questions as homework.

In the third hour, I got a substitution class in my 8K1 class. Since it's my new class, we played the game "City of Truth and Lies" in a different way. The students enjoyed the game and expressed gratitude to the teacher for the class.

In the fourth hour, I again got a substitution in the 8D class. So I started a new portion of different problems. In this portion, there is a slight difference from the standard form of equation because in these problems, variables exist on both sides of the equation. We can solve the problem similarly as we did in the standard equation. In this, we need to invert both constant and variable to make the given equation standard form. Then I presented the next question and explained the method of solving such equations. Then I presented a chart containing the definition of an equation. After an explanation for checking students' understanding, I gave a problem. Students answered correctly. One problem was given homework as it is similar to the previous problem. Before going to the next lesson plan, I decided to complete my 29 lesson plans and kept the last 30th LP for observation. So I moved onto the next solved real life problem of age. I asked one student to read the question and explain it to the whole class. Then I presented an activity chart and asked students to complete the chart. Some students came and completed the chart. Then I asked the students to complete the problem. I continued the class since I got the 6th hour as a substitution. Then I moved onto the 29th lesson plan, which is a constructive model. I gave the students a puzzle to solve, and they answered it. Then I presented 2 questions and asked one student to read the first question. Then students solved the problem with the help of me. After completing the problem, he asked students to do the second problem themselves. After answering the problem, I called some students and asked them to explain it by writing on BB. Students actively participated and taught their friends. I am very happy that I can complete the Lp tomorrow itself.

In the seventh hour, I got a substitution in class 8 P1. When I entered the class, the students were so happy because they want to play a game. As per their wish, we played games. Some students were very active, and some students were inactive. So I picked the inactive students to play the game. With some fear, they successfully completed tasks.

After my class, I informed Deepthi, my teacher, about the situation that I had only one LP left in my record. The teacher scolded me for not informing him about it. After some time, she said she would come tomorrow and be ready for observation. I'm a bit sad about the situation and sincerely sorry to Deepthi's teacher.

The day ended with evening duty.
